Keeping Children Safe in Music is the latest in the EduCare's series of distance learning courses on child protection. The training programme uses short films to show a variety of good and bad practice examples, which will be available to watch online. Alexandra, is a professional singer and musician tutoring in classical, pop, musical theatre, jazz and occasionally folk styles and is very popular with her students, most of whom are long standing regulars. Students achieve excellent exam results, are often cast in leading roles in musical productions and have gone on to study music or musical theatre at top universities and performance arts schools such as Arts Educational Schools, Leeds College of Music and Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Alexandra has a keen understanding of vocal and instrumental tuition; ABRSM, Rockschool and Trinity examinations are available for students who are interested in taking exams and Alexandra's students boast a very high record of exam success. She has also seen an increase in students who attend for audition preparation for drama school entry - success here has been very pleasing with entries granted in to top drama schools in London and across the country.

Alexandra trained as a musician and performer from a young age, including study of vocals, flute, saxophone and piano. She went on to train in Musical Theatre at The Christine Holmes Academy of Performing and Recording Arts and after graduating, worked consistently in theatre and television for many years. Alongside music tuition and stage work, Alexandra works closely with some of the world's largest music examination bodies as an international music examiner in music and the performing arts.

Alexandra began her professional stage career aged just 15 as a dancer in musical production ‘The Swinging Sixties’. Other more recent professional stage credits include; Christine (Phantom of the Opera), Fantine (Les Miserable), and Satine (Le Moulin Rouge) in ‘An Evening in the West End’, Lead Vocalist in ‘Venetian Masquerade’ and ‘Out of Africa’, ‘Mama Mia’ and the West End production of ‘Le Moulin Rouge’.

Tuition is available for all ages in voice, flute and piano from beginner to advanced levels. Saxophone tuition from beginner to intermediate level is also available upon request. Lessons take place at a comfortable home studio in Sharples, Bolton. Tuition is also available in vocals and flute at Bolton School Boys Division for those who already attend.
