Mr Joseph Moyes (BMus)

Biography

Joe started playing the guitar at the age fourteen, and quickly developed a real passion and talent for it, being awarded a scholarship to study with Gilbert Biberian (Professor of Guitar at Trinity College of Music between 1988 and 1996), and at the North east of Scotland Music School, after less than two years playing. A year later he was awarded a place at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London, where he studied for a degree in popular music performance, graduating with honours. During his time there, he gained an advanced knowledge in many areas of music including rock, pop and jazz as well as composition, recording and sequencing.
He now plays Fusion, combining a mixture of jazz lines, with highly advanced rock technique and a rock backing (largely influenced by his former teacher Shaun Baxter from whom he received tuition from for three years).
Joe is willing to take on students of any level and can teach you to play in many different styles including, rock, blues, metal, jazz, fusion and more. Come along for a free ½ hour lesson, show Joe what you want to learn and see how he can help you. (With no obligation to commit to further lessons)
