Hi! My name is Matthew and I am a professional guitarist from the north east of England here to offer you, a family member, or a friend, private guitar lessons. I have been playing guitar for 12 years, within this time I have completed an Extended Diploma and BA honours degree in musical performance. As well as this, I am part of an agency playing live shows every weekend across the UK.

I've gained a lot of experience teaching over my time at college and university, teaching both private one to one lessons and full college classes consisting of over 20 students at a time. I've taught students of all ages and skill levels, from those who have never played guitar in their life, to musicians that simply want to expand their knowledge or need guidance on where to go next in their guitar playing careers.

My methods of teaching vary as I adapt to the student, catering for whatever style of music they wish to learn such as rock, pop, classical, metal, funk and even finger picking acoustic music! I also teach music theory and how to read notation. My aim is to make the student feel as calm as possible but at the same time inspired and excited to learn more about their instrument, whilst having fun in the process. After all, that's what it's all about!

Thank you for reading, if you have any enquiries please message me and I look forward to joining you on your musical journey very soon!
