Notes:

A professional violin and viola teacher working in North and Central London, either privately in Finchley, Barnet, at the Royal Academy of Music or traveling to students.

As well as regular instrumental teaching and ensemble coaching with all age groups and levels, I’ve worked on numerous professional workshops, including ‘Music First’ and ‘Music Masters’ workshops at Islington Music and Arts Academy and Queen’s Park Primary School and have assisted the Primary Arpeggione viola course and Springgrove music competition. I can teach in both English and Russian, can teach different methods, including Suzuki, and have prepared students for both ABRSM and Trinity grades. I’m currently a member of the European String Teachers’ Association, and have participated in ESTA conferences in Strasbourg and Malta this year.

I regularly accompany students on the piano, and work on music theory, aural and sight reading skills for exams, including on grades in theory and academic exams across key stages 1-5.

As a performing musician, I frequently participate in solo and ensemble competitions, and was recently awarded the North London Festival 1st prize for the conservatoire solo category. I’m currently a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra, and was also member of the National Youth Orchestra GB from 2014-2015, appearing on BBC Radio 3 broadcasts and a televised BBC Prom, as well as being involved in the NYO outreach programme ‘inspire’ in schools across London, including workshops and interactive performances at the Royal Festival Hall.
