Keeping Children Safe in Music is the latest in the EduCare's series of distance learning courses on child protection. The training programme uses short films to show a variety of good and bad practice examples, which will be available to watch online. It will help anyone teaching music to children gain a better understanding of their child protection responsibilities, and avoid situations that could lead to accusations of misconduct.

Notes:

As a professional multi-instrumentalist musician and producer I have over 10 years teaching experience in schools (primary & secondary), youth centres, adult workshops and privately. Working with all ages to deliver highly engaging content through practical experience. I offer 1-1 lessons tailored to the students needs: with classical training I can assist with sight reading - my performance career is rooted in jazz and world music. I teach jazz / classical or rock & pop in combination depending on the interest of the student and the goals we set together.

As an active composer, songwriter and producer I am happy to guide students onto a path of music entrepreneurship if so desired. I am the youth music projects leader with The Grand Union Orchestra and teach at North Bridge House Senior School (Hampstead).

"Josh has great teaching skills and a fun and encouraging approach, he is a great mentor to anyone seeking further achievement and enjoyment in music studies. He is highly experienced and professional which you can see in his lessons and results of students."

I have strong experience in creative approaches to learning and developing rhythmic and harmonic skills quickly to enjoy music making. I lead workshops in composition, improvisation, song writing, music for film, technique, repertoire and performance skills.
I have excellent reviews from schools, individuals and companies I work for (please see testimonials of past and present students).

100% success with students progress and exams (ABRSM, Trinity classical, Trinity Rock & Pop), I am happy to assist in personal goals as well as offer a scheme of work and guidance on your instrument of choice.

I organise workshops and concerts in which students can meet others and enhance their performance skills.
