Notes:
I am a Newcastle-based teacher offering lessons in oboe, violin (fiddle) and music theory. I teach both classical and folk/traditional music.
Ad-hoc lessons and short-term courses can be arranged, as well as regular lessons. Day time or evening lessons are available.
I have experience teaching adults in a variety of different settings.
I have skills and experience working with children, and with people with additional needs (Makaton trained). I have previously worked with Sage Gateshead in this role, supporting participants with additional needs at summer schools.
I have recently returned from working in Australia, teaching English folk music and dance at festivals and workshops across the country.
Lessons are individually tailored to the learner, my main aim is to make the process of learning music fun.
I am DBS checked, a member of the Musicians Union and the English Folk Song and Dance Society (EFDSS)
