Notes:

I am active as a music teacher in Jersey, where I teach classroom music and deliver small-group violin lessons at Victoria College. I have played the violin and piano for 17 years, I graduated with a music degree from Durham in June 2017 and I was awarded the ABRSM Vinnie Willis Memorial Prize for Violin after the completion of my Grade VIII exam in 2014. I have previously performed with the Trent Chamber Academy, the New Trent Sinfonia and the Jubilee Trio, as well as singing with the choir of St Mary Magdalene in Newark. Before moving to Jersey, I taught music at Magnus Church of England Academy, the Minster School in Southwell, and Ellis Guilford Academy in Nottingham. In 2018 I enjoyed working as the Composer in Residence at St Mary Magdalene Church, where I also taught theory to choristers and occasionally directed services. My teaching style is very flexible, and I think it is important that my students know what they want from their lessons, so that they can progress at a pace that they are comfortable with.
