Notes:
Alistair is an enthusiastic musician with a particular passion for education. He specialises in drum set tuition and is the author of "Drums from the Beginning", a complete and concise method for learning to play the drums.
One of the main focuses of Alistair's teaching method is teaching students to be musicians - not just drummers. This is achieved by combining both theoretical and structured exercises and self-expression and enjoyment through the instrument. He believes that everyone who wants to play an instrument does so to enjoy it, he strives to keep this as the focus of his teaching.
As a teacher, Alistair has been teaching since 2009, he has taught people to play drums in 1 to 1 and group environments in music colleges, private music schools, churches, workshop settings and privately. Students of as young as 4 through to retirees enjoy and grow in their musical knowledge through having lessons with Alistair. Drummers of all skill levels from enthusiasts and weekend drummers to those preparing for colleges and universities will find a level of enjoyment and development through studying with Alistair.
Alistair also believes that every student is different and that each students exploration of music should be different. He teaches from a broad curriculum with flexibility to the needs and desires of each student.
When you sign up for lessons today, you will receive a PDF copy of Alistair’s latest book, Drums from the Beginning.
