Child Protection Course:
Completed Educare child protection training course. (more)
Keeping Children Safe in Music is the latest in the EduCare's series of distance learning courses on child protection. The training programme uses short films to show a variety of good and bad practice examples, which will be available to watch online. It will help anyone teaching music to children gain a better understanding of their child protection responsibilities, and avoid situations that could lead to accusations of misconduct.

Instruments: Piano
Genre/Style(s): Classical
Ability Levels: Beginners to Advanced

My piano teaching experience dates back 17 years to 1997 when I graduated from the Trinity College of Music in London with the Performers’ Diploma, this followed my childhood scholarship to the Conservatoire of Music in Lisbon, Portugal and my later studies at the Guildhall School of Music - I can look back on a lifetime of experience in performance both on the concert platform and the theatre stage. My aim as a teacher is to help others to develop both musicality and technique on the piano, to provide tuition which is both pleasurable and fulfilling. I welcome pupils of all types – adults and children, those who aspire to reach the highest possible level and equally those who wish to improve their standard simply for the pleasure and enjoyment of playing.
I am situated in Stoke by Clare with easy access to nearby towns and convenient parking at my home. My teaching takes place in my dedicated music room on a grand piano. Prospective pupils are welcome to visit me for a free appraisal and discussion and ‘get to know you’ session. I have uploaded a short video and audio file which can be accessed via the "multimedia" tab on this page.
