Notes:

I am a passionate pianist and percussionist from west London, with an interest in contemporary classical music performance and analysis. As well as teaching piano and percussion, I also teach music theory. A firm grasp of the theory of musical harmony is essential for every musician, at every level. This is an important aspect of music education, regardless of specialisation (performer, composer, analyst).

I rarely just stick to teaching grades, as I think it is more important to inspire passion in my students. I will always encourage students to listen to and find lots of different and rare styles of music, and to figure out what they like/love/dislike about them. Together with this, we will work through a lot of aural, listening and improvisation exercises, in order to truly excel at every aspect of music.
