Ability Levels: Beginners to Advanced

Based in Camborne, I am able to travel to student's homes or can teach from home during the week.

Lessons are tailored to help the student best achieve their goals in playing whether they just want to learn some of their favourite songs or wish to gain a rich knowledge of music in terms of performance and theory to allow you to unleash your musical creativity. The most important thing is for you to have fun while achieving your goals as playing should always be enjoyable!

I'm able to teach a range of playing styles ranging from blues and rock to classical and jazz.

I have been taught in a range of playing styles by some world class musicians including being a student of guitar teachers at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Royal College of Music, London. My main area of study has been classical guitar but I also regularly play at blues and jazz jam sessions. I'm currently working towards my performance and teaching diplomas.

Some of the topics covered can include:

Chords - particularly constructions, voicings and progressions.
Rhythm - practicing with a metronome or drum machine is encouraged!
Sight reading
Music Theory
Listening exercises including recognising intervals and chord progressions
Plectrum technique or finger styles
Exercises to improve technique, flexibility and stamina.

All skill levels welcome.

I am CRB checked and have a disclosure form.
Please note that my above fees are based on teaching from my home and I may have to increase depending on how far I have to travel.
