Completed Educare child protection training course. (more)
Keeping Children Safe in Music is the latest in the EduCare's series of distance learning courses on child protection. The training programme uses short films to show a variety of good and bad practice examples, which will be available to watch online. It will help anyone teaching music to children gain a better understanding of their child protection responsibilities, and avoid situations that could lead to accusations of misconduct.

I am currently working towards a Licentiate diploma with the intention of attaining the level of Fellowship.
I am an experienced teacher and also accompany students for their singing and instrumental exams.
I enjoy teaching the piano and am flexible when it comes to time length of lessons.
I try to incorporate music theory into my lessons from an early stage so it is an easier progression to the higher grades for which Grade 5 theory is a requirement.
I am a patient teacher. Lessons are friendly and relaxed and I teach all ages, either just for fun or with the intention of working through the examination grades for the ABRSM and/or Trinity Guildhall.
I also teach weekly piano keyboard sessions at the local primary school and have a DBS certificate.
Please feel free to call me.
