Notes:
With a background in numerous playing styles, I am keen to establish the student’s interests and take my from teaching from there, with a primary aim being to inspire and motivate. I am classically trained, so am able to prepare students for ABRSM grade exams, using the syllabus as a teaching aid, but always ensuring that there is an importance placed on aural training and playing duets and in groups.
I am currently studying a Master's in Jazz Performance at Guildhall, and perform regularly with my jazz string trio. This is also an area which I feel passionate about teaching.
I am enthusiastic to pass on the joy of playing, whether you are a beginner or adult looking to pick up the instrument once more.
I teach from home in Turnpike Lane, as well as in the surrounding area if within walking distance.
