John Caddick is a passionate young musician living in London.

Originally a guitarist, John spent his formative years diving into any musical experience he could, playing in orchestras, big bands, church choirs and rock bands and gaining accolades in a variety of instruments and disciplines.

Whilst in secondary school John gained a scholarship to attend Birmingham junior conservatoire where he lived at the time. In the year 2011 John picked up a Trombone for the first time and progressed to be awarded a scholarship at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2012 studying classical Bass Trombone alongside 2nd study Jazz Trombone.

John is now in his fourth year of study and has had vast experience in the professional music industry. He has had experience in rehearsing with the LSO, played in opera productions, chamber groups and modern ensembles. In conjunction with his classical training he holds the Bass Trombone chair in both of the Guildhall Big Bands and is principle trombone in the Morley Big Band.

At this pivotal time in his musical career John is now a regular member and freelancing with many London ensembles such as the London Jazz Orchestra, NYJO, Grace Moon and The Jaguar, The Kubricks, High Tide Social, Guildhall Big Band and The Brass Funkeys.
