Biography

Sarah Brennan is a flute teacher and player based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. She is teacher of flute at Felsted School (Essex), St Albans School (Herts) and Southbank International School (London).

Sarah is an ABRSM examiner which takes her across the world examining all instruments and grades. She is also a featured teacher for ABRSM Teaching Notes Live, where she has recorded short videos on different elements of the new ABRSM flute syllabus aimed at helping other teachers with problem areas.

Sarah provides aural training as well as theory lessons and tutoring for GCSE and A-Levels students. With her experience of teaching KS3 and KS4 Sarah is able to help students with many different areas of their musical education.

Sarah has successfully prepared students for conservatoires and competitions and many students to read music at university. She was a featured artist on E-Flute Fest 2020.

Her pupils range from total beginner to diploma level students ranging across the whole age spectrum. Sarah runs flute ensembles, arranges music and takes sectional rehearsals for the schools and is an active member of each department. Sarah also teaches privately at her two teaching studios in Hertfordshire including flute, piano, theory and coaching ABRSM exam technique and preparation across all instruments and grades.
