Mr Matteo Migliorini (MMus)


Matteo Migliorini was born in Ivrea (TO, Italy) in 1993. Since he was 5 years old, he joined a music class taught by M. Sonia Magliano. On her guidance, he took part to many events and music context. He won the first prize at “Concorso Gran Paradiso” (Locana 2002), first prize at “VI Concorso Musica Insieme” (Asti, 2006), “Best Solo Pianist” at “IV Concorso Comune di Cantalupa” and at “II Concorso Musicale Giovani Talenti Città di Rivarolo” (2007); on 2009 he won the bursary “Città di Rivarolo” for being the best performer in the three roles of accompanist pianist, solo pianist and chamber pianist. In the following year he was awarded the prize “Best music ensemble” with his clarinettist brother Andrea. On 2012, when he was 19, he achieved the Diplima as Classical Pianist at the Conservatory “A. Vivaldi” of Alessandria (Italy), as an external candidate, with an overall score of 8.75/10
He joined several enhancement courses of classical music with M. Diego Mingolla, Matteo Costa, Simone Gragnani, Cristina Ariagno, of Baroque music with Christophe Rousset and Claudia Ferrero, and 4-hand-piano with Rosanna Antoniotti Rocca, in duo with Francesco Cunsolo. He took part to many events as solo pianist, such as “Rassegna Pianistica di Montecatini Terme”, “Musica Domani” of Colleretto Giacosa, “Messa in Scena” in the Theatre “La Serra di Ivrea” and “Polincontri Classica” at the Polytechnic University of Torino.

After the Diploma, he started jazz music with M. Daniele Tione and M. Pino Russo, taking part to jazz piano individual lessons and jazz music ensemble at the Jazz School Torino.

He owns a Master in Mechanical Engineering and he is currently a PhD student of Cranfield University.
