I believe that violin and music lessons can be so much more than just about learning the instrument. As such when teaching I try to involve wider aspects of learning and problem solving, leading and following, learning who they really are and what their strengths and weaknesses are. I try to help my pupils benefit in every way possible from the experience of learning the violin.

I am a firm believer in setting realistic targets and achieving those targets, this comes with gaining confidence and believing in one's ability. I enjoy witnessing a student blossom under the guidance of somebody who really believes in them too! With the correct technical backing (scales, exercises and studies), we can build great foundations that can continue to grow alongside individuality and musicianship.

I teach beginners up to pre music-college level and my pupils have done very well in ABRSM exams. Recently one gained entry onto the Foundation course at Trinity Laban Conservatoire before going on to study physics!

I also have grade 8 piano so can accompany during lessons.

Please see the testimonials written by current and former students.

I am happy to travel to teach. Please contact me for further details and I hope to hear from you soon!
