I am a classically trained music teacher. I have a degree in classical music performing (2013) and a Masters degree in music therapy (2017). I have always been drawn to creative arts and involved myself in various activities since young. I enjoy participating in various musical activities such as singing in choir, playing in band and orchestra. I have been actively singing in a choir since 2009 and had involved in many choir competitions and performances in Malaysia, Thailand,Taiwan and England. Other than that, I also had a number of experiences playing violin in live band, orchestra and musical show. I have participated in Cambridge University Music Society Symphony Chorus and Symphony Orchestra. Music brings me joy and happiness and I believe that everyone, regardless the age and gender, is able to enjoy the fun of music as long as they are ready to commit to the learning.

I began to teach music since 2009. I have experience teaching in various setting such as individual piano, individual violin, string ensemble, group music theory, group aural as well as classroom music. The age range of my students were between 2 to 30s. I have the experience of teaching ABRSM and TRINITY exam syllabus from Grade 1 to 8 (with 100% passing rate). I also have the experience of teaching those who wish to learn as self-interest and for entertainment; classical or popular music.

I enjoy sharing my musical knowledge with students; from the playing techniques to music theory, aural and music history. The joy and excitement of teaching grants me the feeling of happiness when I am able to watch my students mature in their musical talents and personality through music learning.

I believe that practise between lessons is essential. Parents/care givers's help and support in encouraging their children to practise will maximise their learning efficiency.

Other experiences: I have the experience of working with children with special needs and elderly with dementia.
