I am a professional singer with over twenty years teaching experience. I enjoy a variety of work including choir leading and facilitation for community groups but my passions lie in writing, performing and working with other performers to get the very best out of their voices.

I work with people of all ages and abilities in Popular, Contemporary, Jazz and Folk singing styles. I have particular interests in song writing, improvisation, authentic voice, vocal health, and mindfulness and I am well suited to working with undergraduate or post grad students, emerging artists and professionals.

With skills in guitar, bass and piano, I enjoy being able to work with contemporary performers on their supporting instruments as well as vocal technique, interpretation and performance skills.

Current roles include Head of Vernacular Singing for Newcastle University, Facilitator for The Twisting Ducks Theatre Company and Project Musician for Sage Gateshead.

I write and perform with The Cornshed Sisters who have released two albums with Memphis Records and we are currently working on new material. We have toured the UK with the Futureheads, performed live with Elbow, played several sessions for BBC 6 music and Radio 4ís loose ends, and played many festivals including Glastonbury.
