An inspiring and dynamic music teacher with over 7 years teaching experience. I have a strong awareness of children’s learning and development and enjoy encouraging positive learning techniques, both in the classroom and in 1:1 tuition.

As a peripatetic teacher I have worked for Sistema UK, the Norfolk and Norwich Festival and the East West Gala Chorus.

In my current role at the London School of Arts, I teach 20+ students 1:1 in a range of styles. I currently teach ABRSM piano and vocals from grades 1-6, and one grade 8. I also teach jazz and blues piano, having been a resident pianist at Brown’s Restaurants through 2011, and in the rhythm section for the Bristol Hornstars in the same year.

Last year, at the LSA, I initiated a theory class for those who are aiming to go past grade 5 in their instruments, but haven’t previously learned the right music theory in order to progress to the next level of ABRSM examination. This has had a 100% success rate, with most students achieving merits or distinctions.

As a composer, I have been commissioned by some of the country’s top ensembles and organisations such as the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Singers, The Cheltenham International Music Festival, the Carducci Quartet, the Norfolk and Norwich Festival and Oxfam International. I have also scored many films, and was a resident composer at Bozarts Theatre company on 2010.

In 2013 I cofounded the London Graduate Orchestra, which is a training orchestra aimed at preparing talented musicians for entry into the professional field. We have performed all over London in venues such as Bury St Edmunds Cathedral and The Forge in Camden.

I was educated at the Royal Academy of Music with Sir Peter Maxwell Davies CBE and the University of Bristol with Dr Raymond Clarke.
