Gabrielle Amelia Ridgeon is a composer, pianist and creator of musical children's story book series, Monty the Maestro and his Marvellous Magical Orchestra. Having worked as an assistant to a number of composers and with her original scores on an array of films Gabrielle has a large breath of industry experience.

Alongside her compositional work, Gabrielle is a music teacher specialising in piano, composition, music theory, aural and music technology. Gabrielle is a highly experience music teacher having established her own successful teaching practice in London and then working for a county music service. Having moved to Hampshire, Gabrielle now delivers all of her lessons from her home studio near Andover.

Musical workshops:
Gabrielle runs group musical workshops for children aged 4-7 to introduce children to music in a fun and engaging way (even before deciding on a musical instrument!) Gabrielle's musical story book series, Monty the Maestro and his Marvellous Magical Orchestra has enabled Gabrielle to deliver musical workshops in schools, libraries and more recently in bookshops with Foyles Storybox festival. Gabrielle's next musical workshop will be at Hungerford Literacy Festival in October 2016.

For individual instrumental lessons:
Gabrielle teaches pupils from beginner to advanced level, tailoring all lessons to suit the individual pupil. Gabrielle welcomes adult learners and children from 4 years of age.

Many of Gabrielle's pupils learn for the enjoyment of playing a musical instrument however for those who wish to progress with set goals and achievements Gabrielle will prepare students for examinations, music festivals and performance opportunities.

For those interested in piano lessons but less interested in reading music, Gabrielle is able to incorporate songwriting, improvisation and music technology into the lessons so they remain creative for those who want to compose and play their own music. Lessons are taught on a regular basis and commitment to learning is required from all pupils.
