Biography

I am a pianist with 16 years of classical piano training and 7 years experience in teaching to all ages. I studied at the Birmingham Conservatoire under a scholarship, where I was an active musician: taking part in concerts, festivals and masterclasses. I have also studied music pedagogy for 2 years.

Teaching and working with people is one of my greatest passions. My other work experience involves mentoring children at summer camps, volunteering as a phone-line counsellor for a youth support service, shadowing music teachers and organising charity concerts. As a person I am empathetic, patient and friendly, with a positive and encouraging attitude!

My teaching aim is to work to the best of my ability to tailor lessons to the needs and ways of leaning of each unique student. I work to make lessons as fun, interesting, and creative as possible, and I often make my own teaching material. I also will be happy to walk through the ABRSM or Trinity grading system if you wish.
