Hi! I'm a young and energetic music teacher and graduate from the University of York, now living in South East London. During my time at York, I developed a reputation for being the person to go to if you wanted relaxed but effective lessons. I taught singing to many drama students both for specific roles and for drama school auditions, with a good rate of success.

My approach to teaching is one of engaging the pupil with the material. I remember all too well trudging through difficult and boring repertoire with a former piano teacher, but a more recent one turned that on its head by explaining and sharing her passion for the subject matter. This is what I try to do - show pupils why pieces/songs/scales are important, interesting and even fun! This approach makes me ideal to teach young learners, teenagers and even adults who want a more relaxed, exploratory feel to lessons.

My personal credits include playing piano and trombone for professional bands in London, Manchester and Edinburgh; singing and playing trombone with the Halle Youth Choir and Orchestra; directing and musically directing professional and university shows, including Rent, Fame, Company, High School Musical, and Bernstein's Wonderful Town. I have also written a full-length musical which was performed in York, and currently I am studying Musical Theatre (with an academic and compositional approach) at Goldsmiths College.
