Hi there, my name is Sam Norris, and I'm an award-winning jazz saxophonist, flautist and composer. I'm currently in my third year of studying jazz at the Royal Academy of Music on a scholarship, under the tutelage of masters Stan Sulzmann, Gareth Lockrane and Iain Ballamy. I am a very experienced performer and composer, having played my original music at most of London's premier jazz venues (including the Vortex, Ronnie Scott's, the 606 Club, and the Hampstead Jazz Club) and I have a strong interest in music education which started when I led the 'Moonlighters' big band at Nottingham University (where I spent a year before moving to London to pursue music). I have expertise in classical, jazz, funk, rock and pop music, and can teach saxophone, flute or music theory (jazz or classical) at any level from beginner to advanced, either at my house in Kilburn or at a location of the student's choice. I'm also very personable, organised, have experience working with kids, and will always strive to make lessons challenging, inspiring, and fun! I look forward to hearing from you very soon.
