First Class Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Music Performance from Leeds College of Music.

Lucy is a Classically trained Saxophonist and teacher, currently performing and teaching across the West Midlands. Lucy teaches a variety of children, young people and adults through private lessons and in school settings. Lucy holds a Master of Arts in Musicology from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, upon receiving an academic excellence scholarship, and a First Class BA Honors Degree and the Rotary Club of Leeds Cooke-Webster Prize from Leeds College of Music. She also holds Grade 8 Flute and has experience performing and teaching the Clarinet. Although Lucy is classically trained, she has experience of jazz and popular music genres. Lucy is a member of the ISM (Incoporated Society of Musicians) and is therefore covered by public, employers, and product liability insurance.
Lucy has experience teaching private 1-to-1 sessions with a range of adults and children, from ages seven to seventy. Lucy also enjoys teaching whole-class music lessons in primary school settings and working with the local music service delivering instrumental lessons. Lucy has experience teaching both the ABRSM and TRINITY College London Syllabus', for both of which she has a 100% student pass rate. She has experience of teaching very beginner students and those of a higher level, across a broad age range. She also has experience of teaching pupils who she has inherited from other teachers and Lucy has worked with larger groups of children through community based projects.
