Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music Performance Diploma - DipABRSM
Instruments: 'Cello
Music Theory
Genre/Style(s): Classical cello and basic academic music theory
Ability Levels: Beginners to Intermediate

I am an 18 year old student with a Diploma in Cello performance from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. I am looking to teach cello to both children and adult beginners. I can also teach music theory up to the standard of Grade 5 ABRSM. I am based in both Edinburgh and Glasgow.I have attended specialist music school for eight years during which time i have taught Kodaly method and basic music theory to young children. I teach cello following the methods i was taught myself starting at the age of 7. This involves a focus on a secure make-up of the student's technique which insures against muscular problems later on. Incorporated into the exercises is an understanding of basic music theory (this is particularly valuable to those new to the academics of music). I believe a sound and secure physical technique results in the fastest progress for the student and the most permanent attainment. My methods adhere to the traditional studies and exercises used by generations of old-school cellists (The studies of Feuillard, Sevceck,)
