Ability Levels: Beginners to Advanced

I have been teaching students privately and in groups, from beginners to advanced violinists since 2010. I am dedicated to a friendly and nurturing approach to teaching, and seek to bring out each student's strengths and musical passions off the back of a thorough grounding in good technique and basic musicianship skills. I am passionate about exploring new styles of music and repertoire for the violin. I also love improvising and enjoy devising improvisation games for my students.

I encourage my students to perform, even if it is just in front of their family as often as possible. It is my belief that, for many musicians, it is the working towards a performance and making music with other people which spurs them on to practice and get the most out of their studies, and is all part of the joy of learning to play.

All ages and abilities welcome!
