Notes:

After graduating (many years ago) from The Royal Academy of Music, London where I studied trumpet (primarily), piano, theory & history etc., I spent many years as a freelance musician and private teacher. I worked largely with The London Philharmonic Orchestra alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra, the Royal Opera House (Covent Garden), Bournemouth Sinfonietta and numerous others including West End Shows such as 'Les Miserable'.

After this I worked in the film industry as a music copyist alongside peripatetic brass teaching and conducting for a London Music Service.

I relocated to Hampshire to take up a full time teaching post in a Hampshire 6th form college teaching A Level Music, Music Technology & Performance Studies (music element).

Now early retired, aged 58, I'm looking to offer my experience to students & groups in the Lincolnshire area (my 2nd relocation). Given my background (previously it was in the brass band world) my teaching style I guess is somewhat traditional. I place much emphasis on correct technique and can take trumpet / cornet players a long way (including grades if required). I can happily assist early stage pianists and those interested in theory - in fact most elements of music.

It's perhaps worth contacting me with a view to a free consultation - to see if our expectations match. I'm always willing to help budding musicians - and if I can't I'm sure I can put you in the right direction. It's possible that I could travel to teach, otherwise there are facilities here at my home in South Kyme.

Other than this I spend much time keeping fit, cooking, road bike riding and all things 'well being'. A healthy body and mind suits musicians very well in my view.
