With regards to my education and training, I have an extensive background in music education, which spans more than two decades in France and England. I was employed at Kensington and Chelsea College for eight years as an A-level music lecturer and piano teacher, and was later promoted there to music department coordinator. As a PhD research student at Roehampton University, I taught harmony, transcription and arrangement to undergraduate students for three years. I then worked for the City Literary Institute as Head of Music in 2001 until December 2012. There I taught piano, theory, general musicianship and the Diploma Course for Music Teachers accredited by Trinity College London.

As a freelance musician, I successfully achieved examiner status for Trinity College London in the UK and abroad assessing grade exams from beginner levels to Grade 8. In 2014 I qualified as an SMA adjudicator and have assessed the Bromley High School Music Competition and the Junior Piano Competition for the Beethoven Society. As well, I teach piano and other music subject areas including music theory, harmony, history and music analysis and teachers’ training (University level). The level of students I currently teach range from beginner levels to Diploma level both privately and as a peripatetic teacher (Eaton Square School).

I can offer include effective communication and organisational skills, a positive team spirit, and a commitment to quality and achievement. My background and experience offer excellent support to students in their musical development.
