Keeping Children Safe in Music is the latest in the EduCare's series of distance learning courses on child protection. The training programme uses short films to show a variety of good and bad practice examples, which will be available to watch online. I am an experienced, fun and friendly teacher, and shape my style of teaching to suit each student. I graduated with an MA Distinction from The Royal Academy of Muisc, prior to this I gaining a 1st class BMus Degree from the Royal Northern College of Music.

Everyone can become a musician and I aim to provide a good balance between technique and musicality from beginner to advanced stages. I have prepared students for ABRSM prep test through to Diploma with very promising results and am proud of each student that I have entered for exams.

I currently hold teaching positions at Wycombe Abbey Girls School, Queen Anne's Girl School and Kings College London.

I have experience of teaching individuals and giving group lessons, inside and out of school, all of varying ages and standards. I understand the importance of music in everyday school learning, having worked closely with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Education Scheme - In Harmony, as well as the RNCM Junior String project. Music can have such an influence on everyday life and learning, and I love to be able to pass on the knowledge and wise words I have received since the start of my studies. I have also taught on both the Preparatory and Primary courses at the renown Pro Corda Chamber Music Academy.

I am a firm believer in setting realistic targets and achieving those targets, this comes with gaining confidence and believing in ones ability. I enjoy witnessing a student blossom under the guidance of somebody who really believes in them too! With the correct technical backing (scales, exercises and studies), we can build great foundations that can continue to grow alongside individuality and musicianship.

As a violist I have performed solo and chamber music recitals across the UK and Europe, and earlier this year fave my chamber music debut at the Wigmore Hall. I am also the recipient of the Rose Roitnon Viola Prize, The Sir John Barbirolli Memorial Prize, The RNCM Viola Competition and recently won the Edinburgh String Quartet Apprentice.

I am willing to travel up to 5 miles to teach either in half hour or hour slots. Please contact me for further details and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
