Biography

In 2009 Frances graduated from the then Trinity College of Music with a 1st Class Hons degree in Vocal Studies and was awarded the TCM Silver Medal, reflecting her achievement over the course of her degree. Frances is involved in a wide range of music including Opera, classical songs, Musical Theatre and Contemporary music and has worked as a session vocalist for EMI records, Ray Cooney productions and BBC Radio 3.

Recent projects include two weeklong workshops playing 1st Lady with Simon McBurney/Complicite for De Nederlandse Opera and ENO and staged scenes of The Last King of Scotland (Giles Foden/Stephen McNeff) at The Linbury Studio of the Royal Opera house for Exposure:Opera. Frances was a prizewinner in the Elizabeth Schumann Lieder Competition 2012 and a finalist in the Lillian Ash French Song competitionin the same year.

In 2011, Frances returned to the now Trinity Laban Conservatoire to complete a further two years of Post-graduate Vocal Study which she has recently passed with Distinction. During this time she was the recipient of several scholarships and bursaries enabling her to spend the summer at The Banff Centre, Canada and participate in the Opera as Theatre summer school performing in The Secret Garden and Don Giovanni. Frances currently lives in North London where she studies privately with John Evans and teaches a growing number or private students.
