Hi!
I specialise in teaching classical guitar, as well as music theory, and I'm looking for new students with whom I can share my enthusiasm for the instrument and its music. As well as all the obvious 'technical' stuff, I offer lessons with a focus on self-direction - my goal is to help players set and achieve their own goals, develop their own understanding of how to interpret and relate to the music they are playing, and decide on a programme that will enable them to really enjoy what they are doing. I welcome both children and adults, at any level of ability.
I'm passionate about teaching, and as well as teaching guitar privately I've been working as a graduate teaching assistant in the philosophy department at Sheffield University over the last four years, and as a lecturer in 2017. I'm also an active musician around Sheffield, in particular within the folk music scene here.
Hope to hear from you soon!
