Jake Hinson (clarinet), 22, has just completed his undergraduate study at the Royal College of Music in London. During his time at the RCM Jake enjoyed regular lessons with Timothy lines, Richard Hosford and Robert Hill. Previously, Jake was a junior exhibitioner at the Royal Academy of Music as well as studying externally with Paul Harris. Jake has performed as a soloist in many venues across the UK, and is a regular performer in the East Midlands notably with the Nottingham Chamber Orchestra as a concerto soloist on many occasions. Jake has enjoyed a varied chamber music career including performances at the Wigmore Hall as a finalist of the Pro Chorda chamber music competition and regular performances with both Trio Alma (piano trio) and the Cordia Wind Quintet both in the UK and internationally. Orchestrally, Jake was selected, during his time at the RCM, to take part in the Philharmonia Orchestra sit- in scheme alongside playing in many orchestral projects under the baton of celebrated conductors such as Jac Van Steen. Also, Jake was appointed principal clarinet during his time in the National Youth Chamber Orchestra in 2011.
In addition Jake has been selected to perform in masterclasses with such celebrated clarinettist’s as; Karl Leister, Michael Collins and Walter Seyfarth.
