I'm a teacher, composer, and performer who would love to take on new students, of any age (7+), who would enjoy learning a range of different styles. I teach at my home in Chessington or at my church at All Souls, Langham Place in central London. My teaching style is adapted to suit pupils' needs, learning from a wide range of different styles, as well as (if desired) progressing through grades (I enter pupils regularly for ABRSM exams as well as Trinity Jazz and Trinity Rock and Pop for pupils who would like to try something a bit different!). I regularly transcribe my pupils' favourite music so that they can learn to play what they enjoy listening to – whether that's a bit of Harry Potter, Little Mix, or Ed Sheeran. See below for more info to find out a little bit more about my experience in each instrument that I teach.

I have played piano at functions across the UK, including as part of a big band, a jazz trio, a function band, and as an accompanist for musicals, choirs, and church services. I have played at the Royal Albert Hall, Savoy Hotel, and BBC Broadcasting House, including for celebrity audiences such as Cilla Black, Sir Jeffrey Archer, Alexander Armstrong, and Sir Tom Jones. Pupils I have entered have a 100% pass rate, and many have attained merits and distinctions.

I work as a freelance orchestrator and arranger, having written for BBC’s Songs of Praise, the All Souls Orchestra, Paul Baloche, Graham Kendrick, Martin Smith, Jonathan Veira, the Adoramus Choir and Orchestra and the St Paul’s Massed Cathedral Choir. My arrangements have been broadcast on television and radio, and several have been released on CDs and DVDs (the most recent being the All Souls Orchestra's 'Prom Praise: Majesty' album). I have also written for contemporary-classical groups such as Lontano, Juice, soprano Juliet Fraser, and Spirituoso.

As a theory and composition teacher, I tailor exercises towards students – while I will strongly encourage parents/students to purchase workbooks, I also create my own materials to add to the variety of exercises. It is possible for us to look at a broad range of music, including symphonic works, film scores, and even jazz harmony and popular songwriting.

I am honoured to be Principal Conductor of the All Souls Orchestra, which annually performs a Prom Praise concert at the Royal Albert Hall to over 5,000 guests. With Conductor Emeritus, Noël Tredinnick, I conducted several tracks on the Christmas album, Prom Praise: A Festival of Christmas, which can be heard on Spotify and Apple Music. Our most recent concerts which have been broadcast online during the Covid-19 pandemic have been viewed by over 200,000 people.
