Biography

Dominika Fehér began her musical studies at the age of five and since then has performed as a soloist throughout the UK, Hungary and China. She completed her Masters studies at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest. In 2009 she won the Weingarten Scholarship to study at the Birmingham Conservatoire, where she is currently a Junior Fellow. She is the winner and finalist of several competitions (Delius Prize 2011, Birmingham, North London Festival of Music 2010 1st prize with distinction, Contemporary Music Prize 2010, Balassagyarmat). She successfully auditioned for a place on the Royal Ballet Birmingham and CBSO training schemes and for the Cheltenham Festival Academy String Orchestra. Dominika was principal 2nd violin of the European Student Chamber Orchestra under the leadership of Pierre Amoyal.
Alongside her activities as a modern violinist, Dominika has also studied baroque violin under the tutelage of Margaret Faultless, Lucy Russell and Oliver Webber. She was a participant in the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment Orchestra Academy and a member of the European Union Baroque Orchestra 2012.
