I am a highly passionate and dedicated singer, currently studying for an MA (Music) in Ensemble Singing at the University of York under Robert Hollingworth. I attended the Royal College of Music (Junior Department) from 2013-2016 where I was the recipient of the Concordia Foundation Singing Prize. I perform with Genesis Sixteen (conducted by Harry Christophers and Eamonn Dougan), the choir of York Minster, and the Brabant Ensemble. In 2012 I was a finalist in the BBC Chorister of the Year competition.
As a singing teacher, I confidently believe in the importance of good bodily posture and the links this has to a strong and free singing technique. This, as well as accent method breathing underpins my teaching method. Most importantly, though, I am passionate about sharing the joy music and singing can bring, as well as inspiring the next generation of singers.
I am very happy for parents to sit in on my lessons, and for my lessons to be audio recorded to allow students to revise what has been taught between lessons (for personal use only).
