Notes:
I have taught singing privately for 10 years, with students ranging in ages from 7-77. Alongside my private teaching I currently teach at Pembroke College, Cambridge, and Royal Hospital School in Suffolk.
I have prepared students for ABRSM and Trinity exams, and have taught students that have gained distinction at diploma level and gained entrance to conservatoires. I have also taught mature students and working professional singers. I have also tutored Music Theory, A-Level and GCSE music privately for 5 years and have taught AS/A2 A-level in the classroom.I have also taken part in education workshops in schools throughout London and the South.
Alongside my teaching I currently work as a feelance opera singer, a tenor. I have sung for opera companies including Glyndebourne, Scottish Opera and Wexford Festival and at concert halls including The Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall and Royal Festival Hall.
I am extremely passionate about singing and music. I had may first singing lesson aged 7 and have not stopped since. Singing is the most important thing in my life and I am eager to encourage and nurture other singers as I have been myself. I have a very thorough technical knowledge of the physiology of vocal production and believe that this is something I can balance by enthusing and encouraging. I also have excellent musicianship and an incredibly broad knowledge of repertoire. I am confident in teaching all styles, but classical singing is my main area of interest.
During the Covid-19 pandemic I have successfully transferred all my teaching online, via Zoom. I am now (17 August 2020) returning to face-to-face teaching (following the advice of the ISM) and continue to teach online via Zoom.
