I am a highly qualified professional Flautist and Flute Teacher with many years of experience. I studied Flute at The Purcell School, then completed my degree at the Royal College of Music, London. I teach students of all ages and abilities from beginners through to Diploma level. I have a proven record of excellent exam results. I adapt my teaching to best help my pupil, understanding that each child/adult will have their own individual way of learning and understanding things. I teach the foundations of a solid technique, enabling my students to acquire the necessary skills to enjoy playing a variety of musical styles. The lessons will be engaging and sometimes challenging, but always with a strong emphasis on having fun whilst building confidence in the individual, gaining a sense of achievement and most importantly developing a lifelong love and appreciation for music. Learning an instrument can benefit all aspects of the school curriculum. Children will gain the ability to concentrate better, develop problem solving skills, developed motor skills, acquire greater emotional expression and creativity, the skills of self-discipline and perseverance.
