I am an experienced musician based in Lymm Cheshire. I studied cello under Jenny Curtis at the Royal Northern College of Music whilst completing a music degree at the University of Manchester. I am also qualified in Kodaly techniques through the British Kodaly Academy.

As well as teaching cello and junior string ensembles, I have run and performed in a very successful string quartet providing music for weddings, events and functions. I also spent four years in the programming department at The Bridgewater Hall, organizing concerts with the Halle Orchestra, The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and the Manchester Camerata as well as other British and International orchestras, ensembles and soloists.

My approach to teaching is flexible depending on the age of the pupil and their level of ability. I teach music theory as part of the cello lesson and endeavour to give all my pupils a strong grounding in all round musicianship. ABRSM grades can be worked towards.

I am available to teach from age 4 upwards, children to adults, beginners to advanced. Free consultation lesson available. Advice on hiring or buying cellos available for pupils.
