Biography

Angelina Egerton completed sixth form at Chethams School of Music in 2007 and graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in 2011, under the tutelage of Eira Lynn Jones.

Angelina spends the majority her time playing for orchestras and ensembles around the North of England, recent concerts include performances with the National Festival Orchestra as part of the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival and Harrogate’s ClassicFest. She has also played with the British Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, Newcastle’s Musical Theatre Company, Sheffield Symphony Orchestra, Huddersfield Philharmonic Orchestra, York Guildhall Orchestra and York Opera. Angelina has also had the privilege of being conducted by Sir Mark Elder and Yan Pascal Tortelier.
In April 2013 Angelina had the pleasure of being a guest entertainer onboard the Saga Sapphire.

Notable venues in which Angelina has performed include the Bridgewater Hall and the City of Birmingham Symphony Hall, the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden for Prince Charles’ 60th Birthday celebrations, the Baltic in Gateshead, the Natural History Museum in London, as well as playing for shows in Newcastle's Theatre Royal, York Theatre Royal, Buxton Opera House and Harrogate’s Royal Hall.

During her time in Manchester, Angelina was a practice supervisor at Chetham’s School of Music. Now settled in York, she teaches the harp and piano from home.

Angelina is part of the harp quartet CLOUDS, who have released four CDs, and will be appearing at the World Harp Congress in Cardiff in the Summer of 2020.
