Biography

Alice read music at St Catherine's College, Oxford before taking up a place on the postgraduate course at the Royal College of Music studying Orchestral Percussion & Timpani with Alex Neal and Andy Smith, supported by an Ernest Hecht Award. She is now building a career out of theatre work, orchestral playing and teaching.

Alice freelances across London and the UK in concert halls, theatres and recording studios. She is currently the drummer for "Six The Musical" at the Arts Theatre West End, and deps on Cameron Mackintosh's UK & Ireland tour of Miss Saigon. She is also a member of the London-based percussion quartet, Beaten Track. Recent work has included the "Love Actually" UK & Ireland tour, recording sessions at Abbey Road Studios and a session with the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Marin Alsop. She spent 6 weeks in Sicily as Principal Timpani for the Mediterranean Opera Festival 2016 and toured Denmark that Christmas with the Peter Schaufuss Ballet production of "The Nutcracker".

Alice has taught whole-class music in primary schools for the Da Capo Music Foundation and currently teaches piano and drums at their Saturday school and at Wren Academy. She has taught percussion at Tiffin Girls’ School and teaches percussion, drums and piano privately from her home studio.
