Biography

I started playing the violin when I was just 6 years old.

My first teacher Barbara Turpin suggested after a year that I should audition for a scholarship from the Wiltshire Schools Music Service to allow me to attend one of the primary Saturday schools run by the music conservatoires in London.

I was awarded a scholarship and successfully auditioned at the Primary Academy department of the Royal Academy of Music. I studied violin under Ellen Martin who guided me through to my successful audition to the Junior Academy at the Royal Academy of Music for which I received a scholarship.

In the Junior Academy I initially studied under Nina Martin and later Ben Wragg who coached me to being offered places at a number of the UK senior Conservatoires. I chose to continue to study at the Royal Academy of Music and was the only Junior Academy violinist to be offered a place that year. I also became the leader of the Swindon and Wiltshire Youth Orchestra.

At the senior Royal Academy of Music, I initially studied violin under professor Mateja Marinkovic and later professor Igor Petrushevski. I Later with scholarship went to Trinity Laban Conservatoire to Study with Mayumi Fujikawa, Stephanie Gonley and Ofer Falk.
