Notes:

I enjoy teaching a wide range of academic and practical musical disciplines (harmony, counterpoint, history, theory etc), and also teach beginner piano/keyboard. I always tailor lessons to the individual student, and teach a wide variety of ages.

I teach at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Junior Department. I also teach part of historical modules at the University of Birmingham. I am active in the University department in other ways: I grade essays and papers, prepare editions, and play keyboard continuo for various early music projects.

As a performer I sing and play keyboard continuo: I have performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and sing bass and countertenor in local cathedrals.
