Mr Tim JW Badgery

I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Music from Oxford Brookes University in June 2016. During my time at university, I was Musical Director of the String Ensemble this role involved giving guidance to the ensemble in how to improve their performance including giving some tutorials to small groups and individuals. Work with other ensembles includes Orchestras, Choirs and Pit-Bands including being an Orchestral Leader.

I have also worked with children and adults with special needs in a music therapy environment as part of a placement for my double honours module in Professional Practice that I took in my final year at university.

More recently, I have been working as a music tutor in Appleford School, near Shrewton. My work there has involved preparing for their Carol Service and Harvest festival with the lower school as well as some classroom teaching of 8-12 year olds. I have incorporated some Indian music into my teaching, to link into their studies of India across the curriculum.

I believe that music is important for everyone and has a unique therapeutic value. Whatever your ability or ambitions are: whether you want to 'play for pleasure' or work towards the rigour of examinations, music has benefits for us all!
