Hello! Here are some bits about myself.

I studied at Drum Tech Music school in 2004 where I achieved a distinction grade and also awarded Best Student of the year. My plan was to take the degree course but I felt that it wouldn't stretch me enough so I continued my studies on a one to one basis.

I've been teaching privately since 2005 and also worked at Raines Foundation School in Bethnal Green for a couple of years. My lessons are usually made up of reading, technique and aural transcription. The transcription usually comprises of something that the pupil would be interested in - for example, figuring out what the drummer is doing on his or her favourite tune.

I am also accomplished at most genres of music from jazz, pop, funk, hip hop to reggae, Latin, folk, rock etc. in addition to teaching my pupils the skills required to play the drums, I also believe in having fun and listening to what they want get out of his or her lessons. I think this ultimately achieves a nice balance between learning techniques and having an enjoyable lesson.

On the playing side of things I have recorded, played and toured around the world with different artists. I am currently playing with Nick Mulvey (Mercury Awards, Glastonbury Pyramid Stage, Live Lounge, Sheperds Bush Empire) and Jamie Woon (numerous festivals and album recording). Past artists included Tyler James (The Voice) and Charlene Soraia (Wherever You Will Go cover from Twinings tea advert fame).

I am happy to travel to you and bring my professional equipment if needed. If you have any queries please feel free to contact me. Thanks!
