Notes:
I am an experienced professional musician and teacher based in South Birmingham. I teach Ukulele, Drum Kit and Percussion to all ages and abilities. I currently teach at Sandwell College, Kids Like Danny (a group for adults with additional special needs) and as a private educator. I have previously taught at Shropshire Music Service, the Young Composers Project and the Act 2 Cam film camp.
I have a vast range of experiences as a professional musician, including performing with highly regarded function band The Newfangled Jesters, leading community music group the Moseley Misfits and have previously been a percussionist with the National Youth Wind Orchestra and led Birmingham-based Ska Band “The Skemptons”. I completed a degree in music at highly regarded Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2015.
I have a wide range of musical knowledge and am able to teach styles and genres including classical, rock, pop, jazz, ska, folk, experimental and non-western musical styles (e.g. African Drumming).
I cater my teaching style to the individual, so whether you are learning for fun, or are hoping to take graded music exams then I can help you.
