I specialise in teaching piano, 'cello, double bass and theory. I am also an accompanist.

I truly believe that music should be fun.
I will never nag or complain if you donít practise, although always remember you will learn more and enjoy music more if you DO practise, at least now and then!
All lessons are structured and designed to give you as many different learning opportunities as possible. I always try to include performance, technical advice, sight reading, listening, aural work and theory in every lesson, although you might not always realise you are doing these things.
As an ABRSM examiner, I understand the benefits of using exams as a way of regularly assessing progress and as a motivating tool. I also have a deep understanding of what is required to achieve successful results in exams. However, I will never insist that any pupil enters for an exam if they do not want to.
I am here to serve you and your interests. If you have specific interests or musical needs, please tell me and I will try to help.
With younger pupils, I always try to involve the parent in the learning, and make them aware of the best ways for their child to practise.
