Dr Luke Woodhouse


Luke Woodhouse is a freelance tenor and pianist. He studied music at Durham University, graduating with first class honours in 2007. Since then, he has gained significant performance, concert, and teaching experience as well as gaining an MA and PhD in music.

As a singer, Luke frequently performs both concert and operatic works. Recent stage roles include Alfred in Strauss' Die Fledermaus, Amaryllus in Vaughan Williams' The Poisoned Kiss, the title role in Britten's Albert Herring, and Jean Valjean in Les Miserables.

As a pianist, his focus is earlier keyboard works of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, as well as regularly accompanying instrumentalists and vocalists for concerts and exams.

He has taught voice and piano at many schools and colleges throughout the North of England including Silcoates School in Wakefield, Hill House School in Doncaster and Lord Lawson of Beamish Academy in Birtley.
