Notes:

Lessons are tailored to meet the goals of each individual student and all genres are catered for, from pop and swing to musical theatre and classical. I thoroughly enjoy fostering talent, instilling a love of singing, encouraging various techniques and increasing confidence in people of all ages and abilities.

My teaching areas include:
* Preparation towards singing exams.
* Help with auditions.
* Preparation towards competitive festivals and productions.
* Recording work and microphone technique (with opportunities to make recordings).
* Speech and drama, including voice coaching for public speaking.
* Or simply for fun!
*There will also be opportunities to perform in public events in the near future.

During my early years I attended Stagecoach and performed in various productions (including musical numbers with a West End cast) before securing employment with them. I was also a member of the National Youth Theatre and have received vocal training from numerous vocal coaches across the country, which has further enhanced my passion and knowledge of vocal techniques further. I sang as a First Soprano in the Brighton Festival Chorus; performing at The Royal Albert Hall with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Royal Academy of Music and The Dome Theatre in Brighton as part of the Brighton Festival. More recently I have performed as a professional singer in a vocal duo known as ‘Enchanted’ before joining my family in a vocal harmony group known as ‘The Bowkers’ where we have performed at corporate events, weddings and private functions.

I have Qualified Teacher Status and a real interest in teaching and learning. My experience in Psychology and teaching has helped me to gain an empathetic understanding of the students I teach. This experience has been put into practise in both singing lessons for children as well as adults and directing productions where students’ needs are at the fore front. I am DBS checked and I recently received training in First Aid.
