Genre/Style(s): Opera and Musical Theatre Singing Tuition.
Ability Levels: Beginners to Advanced

I am a professional opera singer with 25 years experience as a soloist, and am currently a permanent chorister in the Chorus of English National Opera.

I teach a solid, classically-based vocal technique; a technique based on breath control, support, freedom of the jaw and tongue, and placement of the voice which enhances resonance and range. This allows students to sing beautifully, safely and perform with confidence in a variety of styles. This technique was taught to me by Ulla Blom, who taught Cardiff Singer of the World winner Katerina Karneus.

I have experience of teaching adults, teenagers and children in styles ranging from rock to opera via music theatre - though classical music is my speciality. I can prepare students for exams (Trinity Guildhall and ABRSM), auditions, concerts, and productions.

Lessons are taught at home in W7.
I am happy to travel to teach, but surcharges apply.
Beginners are very welcome.
